HYDERABAD, Dec 29: The Awami Tehrik, Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan and South Asia Lawyers Forum have condemned Israeli massacre of Palestinian people and urged the Arab League, OIC, UNO and the peace-loving people of the world to raise their voice against the brazen state-sponsored terrorism.

Activists of Awami Tehrik held a demonstration outside the press club on Monday to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and condemn Israeli attack on Gaza Strip. The central leaders of the party, Syed Alam Shah, Abdul Hakeem Halepoto, Gul Hassan Keerano and Ms Zahida Shaikh said that the party activists would hold demonstrations and hunger strikes across the province on Dec 31 and Jan 1 and 2 to express solidarity with the Palestinian people.

They accused Israel of massacring Palestinian people with the blessings and support of American imperialism and lashed out at the rulers of Muslim counties on their silence. They were acting like American agents and were not even prepared to condemn Israeli action, they said.

They called upon the Arab League, OIC, UNO and the peace-loving people of the world to raise their voice against Israeli terrorism.

JUP: The chief of Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan Dr Sahibzada Abul Khair Mohammad Zubair has condemned Israeli aggression against Palestinian people and warned that if the peace-loving people of the world did not raise their voice against the brutality, world peace would be in grave danger.

He said in a press statement issued on Monday that the silence of America and UNO on large-scale genocide of Muslims was a clear proof of the fact that Israel was trying to wipe out Muslims from the face of the earth with their tacit approval.

He called upon Muslim nations to wake up and evolve a joint strategy to protect the Muslim world.

SALF: The Pakistan chapter of the South Asia Lawyers Forum has condemned Israeli terrorism and said that Israel was the biggest terrorist state of the world.

In a joint statement issued on Monday, the chairman of the forum Riazuddin Qureshi, vice-chairman Syed Abbas Ali Jafri and others said that the UNO was silent on the genocide of Palestinian Muslims.

They feared that if Israel and her supporters were not stopped from committing terrorism, it could lead to outbreak of the third world war.

They urged the secretary general of the world body to adopt a resolution, demanding prosecution of Israeli prime minister in the International Court of Justice for crimes against humanity.

Our Nawabshah correspondent adds: The Jamat-i-Islami, Nawabshah chapter, has condemned the bombardment of Zionists forces on Palestinians and demanded of the government to play its role in stopping such inhuman acts.

A protest meeting of JI Nawabshah was held at Islamic Hall on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, chief of JI Nawabshah Prof Aijaz Alam, condemned the Israeli act and said that UN was not acting neutral hence the issues of Palestine and Kashmir would never be resolved despite passing of resolutions.

He said that Hamas was the party of masses in Palestine and enjoyed support, however, it was denied right to run the government.
