NAWABSHAH, Oct 25: Suspected letters addressed to President Gen Pervaiz Musharraf, GHQ, Rawalpindi, and Ali Mohammed Jinnati Baba of Thatta were taken into possession by the Post Office, Nawabshah, as the suspect fled leaving behind the letters fearing his arrest.

According to details, an unidentified person came to the post office here on Thursday morning and handed over three envelopes addressed to General Pervaiz Musharraf, ‘King’ of Pakistan, Post office Rawalpindi, Ali Mohammed Jinnati Baba, Shahi Masjid Thatta, and GHQ Rawalpindi.

When the concerned staff asked the suspected person for his Identity Card copy, he slipped away.

The district administration officials swung into action after being informed of the matter.

A police official who requested anonymity told this correspondent that when they tried to trace the address of the suspect which was — Pir Qudratullah, Pir Sabqatullah and Pir Hizbullah, c/o Sattar Lohar, Syed Medical Centre Nawabshah”— it proved fictitious.

No senior police official was ready to comment on the issue.

Officials at the Nawabshah Post Office doubted that all the three envelopes may contain Anthrax. These envelops have been sent to the Deputy Post Master General, Sukkur, for investigation. The result would be available in a day or two.

Meanwhile, a massive manhunt has been initiated in the district to fish out the suspect.
