RAWLPINDI, Jan 1: A joint team investigating the theft of arms from the Aabpara police station has busted the gang involved in the case and seized some of the weapons.

A knowledgeable source said on Thursday that a police party had raided a house near Bari Imam and arrested a man who turned out to be a police official and found some of the stolen arms.

The source said the police official was posted at the Supreme Court.

He was brought to the police station where nine other officials arrested in the arms theft case were being interrogated.

The source said the remaining arms had been sold by the accused.
