KARACHI, Jan 2: Seven ships, including three cement loaders to load 40,000 tons of the commodity, are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where six ships, Capitan Yannis-L, to unload bulk cargo, Lalazar and Gulf Tiger to offload crude oil and diesel, Hong Lu to offload jute bags and Banglar Mookh to unload and load general cargo berthed after the departure of five.
The ships, which departed included Atlantic Star, Sargodha, Hyundai Duke, Oel Transworld and Equinox Seas while Adriatic Arrow, Bunga Terasek, Kapitan Byankin, Champion Pioneer, Lalazar and Gulf Tiger are due to sail out on Saturday.
A total tonnage of 96,711 tons, comprising 581 tons of export cargo and 50,130 tons of import tonnage, was handled on Friday.
The following ships are due on Saturday: Bulk Arrow, Hyunjin KS-3 and Fusion-1 to load cement, Swat, with crude oil, Bavaria Express, H&H Tide and Martha Russ, with containers.
