LAHORE, Jan 10: Islamabad crushed Rawalpindi 9-0, Sahiwal outplayed Chichawatni 4-0 and Chaman overwhelmed Quetta Reds 3-0 in the three matches played on the inaugural day of the PFF Under-13 Youth Cup in three cities of Pakistan on Saturday.

Islamabad led 6-0 against Rawalpindi in a one-sided affair at Rawalpindi’s KRL stadium. They opened the proceedings in a whirlwind fashion when Bilal steered the ball into the net with 47 seconds on the clock. Bilal completed a hat-trick within 12 minutes with his other goals coming in the 11th and 12th minutes.

Mohammad Naveed and Mohammad Ali earned a brace. Naveed hit the target in the 45th and 46th minutes while Ali scored in the ninth and 29th minutes. S. Abbas and Hamza completed the rout with goals in the 64th and 25th minutes, respectively.

In the other match at Sahiwal’s Ali Nawaz Stadium, the home team gave no room to Chichawatni.

Winger Mohammad Bilal struck twice in the seventh and 34th minutes with Naqar Abbas (23rd minute) and Irfan Mohammad (17th minute) as the other scorers.

Meanwhile, winger Naimatulah struck twice as Chaman cut Quetta Reds to size with three goals at the Shahwani Stadium in Quetta. Midfielder Abdul Rehman opened scoring in the 19th minute while Naimat hit the target in the 46th and 51st minutes.

Sunday’s fixture: Quetta Reds v Quetta Yellows at Shahwani Stadium, Quetta, at 11.30am.
