KARACHI, Jan 12: Ten ships, carrying wheat 272 cars and to load cement and ethanol, are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where a dozen ships, including Yinh Hing, to unload and load general cargo, Hadrian to load rice, SC Guoh, Lucky-7,and Adarraq, oil-tankers berthed during the last two days.

The ships which departed included Quetta, Hini Angel, Saigon Express, SC Guoh, BBC Bulgaria, Chalkidon, Estere and Captain Yannis-L, while Lucky-7, Golabal Progress, Mare Doro, Csav Lonquen, Surreal and Shayan-1 are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.132m tons, comprising 41,092 tons of export cargo and 90,922 tons of import tonnage, was handled during the last two days.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Resolve to unload 272 cars, African Ibis, to load 27,500 tons of cement, Seabulk Challenge, with 18,040 tons of imported wheat, Lalazar, with crude oil, North Pole to load ethanol, Deja Bhum APL Yokohama, Cape Negro, Ninos, with containers.

Port Qasim

KARACHI, Jan 12: Three ships scheduled to load, offload containers and chemicals berthed at the Qasim International Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal, respectively, while another ship carrying containers also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.

Seven ships, namely CV Bux Lagoon, CV MSC Marmara, MV QSM Dubai, MV Sargodha, MT Eastern Oasis, MV Wilma and MT Sigas Maud are currently occupying berths to load, offload containers, rice, palm oil, general cargo and chemicals.—APP
