KHAIRPUR, May 13: A clash took place between Hesco staff and electricity consumers at Chondiko town of taluka Nara the other day.

A Hesco team was on checking in taluka Nara, it found a sugarcane juice machine and other connections running without metres.

Hesco employee, Wali Muhammad Laghari, who is also the chairman of the Hesco Employees Union, Khairpur division, and others disconnected the illegal connections.

The consumers beat up Laghari and some other employees.

Later, Mr Laghari, lineman, lodged an FIR with Sorah police against four people Soomar Mallah, Umer Mallah, Fida Hussain and Moula Bux Mallah. Two of the accused Soomar and Umer have been arrested.

ROBBED: Some three armed men overpowered a chowkidar of the Higher Secondary School, Khan Wahan, and took away two computers from the school.

INJURED: Twelve people were injured over a dispute of Rs5 at Pacca Chang the other day.

One Iqbal Lakho purchased a watermelon for Rs5 from a shop of Qurbal Siyal. Later the shopkeeper demanded more amount.

The dispute led to a clash wherein sticks, bricks, lathis were freely used. The injured were identified as Allah Bux, Sain Dino, Iqbal, Abbas, Ali Murad and Ghazi Khan of the Lakha tribe. Two of the injured Sain Dino and Ali Murad were in critical condition and shifted to Nawabshah hospital.

On the other side, Ali Mohammad, Qurban Siyal, Altaf, Niaz Ahmed, Habibullah and Akbar Chang were injured. Faiz Ganj police have registered a case against 25 people of the both groups.

KARO-KARI: Two armed men gunned down Bakhshal Shaikh, 30, on pretext of Karo-kari here on Sunday in Mohalla Butra, Khairpur.

The armed men remained there for half-an-hour after committing the murder in the presence of many people.

The deceased was a resident of Gari Pul Mohalla, Khairpur.

The body was taken for autopsy after two hours by the police.

No FIR was registered till the filing of this report.
