Pakistan tour to BD on schedule

Published January 16, 2009

LAHORE, Jan 15: Pakistan will tour Bangladesh in March to play five One-day Internationals according to the schedule, as the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) plan to arrange the visit in February could not get their counterpart’s nod.

Pakistan are to tour Bangladesh from March 11. But after Sri Lanka had split their tour of Pakistan in two phases, there was a gap to tour Bangladesh in February.

Sri Lanka are to tour Pakistan from Jan 18 to 25 to play three ODIs. They will again visit from Feb 15 to March 7 to play two Tests.

Sources told Dawn that Bangladesh authorities had cited problems in making arrangements with the broadcasters as a reason, forcing them not to make any change in the itinerary.
