Elaborating, the 29-year-old Aqeel said primarily the offer is for six months which may be extended up to two years.

When asked whether he will be available to play for the country in Davis Cup against Oman in March and the other future ties, he replied: “My services are always available for the country.”

Aqeel, who stepped into the Pakistan team in 1997-98, has helped the country win many memorable Davis Cup matches during the last decade.
