NAWABSHAH: Minister’s claim belied

Published January 22, 2009

NAWABSHAH, Jan 21: Hesco continues long-duration loadshedding in central Sindh despite claims by the federal minister for water and power that the outage would not be carried out without prior notice. The 12 to 15 hours of unannounced loadshedding has in fact numbed both normal and business activities, consumers complain.

Power played hide-and-seek with the residents of Benazirabad and its adjoining districts including Sanghar, Matiari and Naushahro Feroze, going off with intervals at 2.30 am to 5.30am, 8.30am to 11.30am, 2.30pm to 5.30pm and then 8.30pm to 11.30pm.
