HYDERABAD, Jan 22: Syed Mohsin Shah Bukhari, an MPA belonging to the Pakistan People’s Party, said that district hospital in Tando Mohammad Khan would soon be upgraded and notification in that regard would be issued shortly.

He stated this at the inaugural ceremony of a metro laboratory and blood bank in the district hospital Tando Mohammad Khan.

The MPA said that a report would be sent to the provincial health department for appointment of lady doctors and specialists in the hospital.He said efforts would be made to obtain a special grant for the hospital to eliminate shortage of medicines and for the development and upgrade of various wards of the hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, EDO health Dr Kazim Raza Shah said that a summary for the upgrade of the district hospital had already been submitted to the health department. He said that all medical facilities would be made available at the hospital after the issuance of the notification in this regard.

The MS of the hospital, Abdul Khaliq Janwari, PPP district president Syed Aijaz Shah Bukhari, Dr Qutub Shah and others also spoke.

LUMHS: The additional controller of examinations, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro, on Thursday announced that examination forms for first professional MBBS (part-II) bi-annual examination 2009, from LUMHS Jamshoro, Chandka Medical College Larkana, Peoples Medical College for Girls Nawabshah and Ghulam Mohammad Mahar Medical College Sukkur would be accepted without late fee up to Feb 3 and with a late fee of Rs200 up to Feb 9.

BISE RESULT: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad announced the results of HSC part-II (Home Economics, Commerce and Humanities groups) supplementary examination 2008.

According to statistics of the results, three candidates appeared in HSC part-II supplementary examination 2008 in Home Economics group out of which one candidate secured B grade while two passed the exams in C grades.

Similarly, 209 candidates appeared in commerce group out of which 20 candidates secured C grades, 83 got D grades and five candidates passed with E grades. Result of one candidate has been withheld.

In humanities group, 729 candidates appeared in the examinations out of which 542 candidates passed the exams with B grades, 286 got C, 230 secured D and nine got E grades, while result of 35 candidates has been withheld.
