GUJAR KHAN, Jan 22: The police have arrested four persons allegedly involved in the murder of a young man found dead in a jungle outside Nata Gujar Mull village on January 1.
Mirza Jamil Baig, sub-divisional police officer/DSP Gujar Khan, while giving details of the case, said on the morning of January 1 the body of Ibrar Hussain (19) was found lying in a jungle near Nata Gujar Mull village in the jurisdiction of Jatli police station.
A case was registered on the complaint of Iftikhar Hussain, the father of the victim, who told the police that on December 31 night at about 9pm somebody called on his son’s mobile phone and asked him to come out.
He said his son went out saying that he would be back soon, but he did not return the whole night.
On January 1 a villager informed him that his son’s body was lying in a nearby jungle.
Mr Baig said the police traced the killers through the record of Ibrar’s mobile phone, and managed to arrest the four accused.
Further investigations revealed that the victim had developed illicit relations with a married woman of the locality who was already having an affair with another man, Qaisar Mehmood.
Qaisar, on getting a clue to the development, decided to remove Ibrar from his way and allegedly plotted the murder with the help of his three friends -- Aamir Shahzad, Mohammad Intizar and Zafran.
The accused confessed before the police that on the night of December 31, they had called Qaisar out of his house and then took him out of the village and shot him dead.
