KARACHI, Jan 24: Four ships scheduled to load/offload containers, wheat and palm oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Meanwhile, three more ships carrying containers and phosphoric acid also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships, Maersk Novazzano, Maersk Monatana, Zeynep-G, Dijks Gracht, Tai Prosperity, Pine Galaxy and AI-Kortoubi, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, palm oil and phosphoric acid.

A cargo volume of 63,742 tons comprising 48,892 tons of import and 14,850 tons of export tonnage was handled. Ten Rose sailed out while Maersk Novazzano, Maersk Monatana and AI-Kortoubi were expected to leave the port.
