Balochistan triumph in women soccer

KARACHI, Jan 26: The inaugural match in the three-match women’s football Sindh and Balochistan Exchange Programme saw Balochistan beating Sindh 1-0 at the Aga Khan Gymkhana on Monday.

The host side remained unfortunate due to too much missing by their frontrunners. The match winner was scored by Balochistan’s boyish-looking striker and captain Rafat in the 40th minute.

AFC Aid-27 Coach Hasan Baloch was the match commissioner with Habibullah as the referee and Abdul Malik and Anwar serving as assistant referees.

The second match will be played on Tuesday with the third to take place at the same venue on Thursday.

Pakistan Football Federation Women’s Wing chairperson Rubina Irfan was the chief guest at the inauguration.
