HYDERABAD, Jan 28: Offering support to lawyers’ long march, the Sindh United Party assured of carrying out whatever assignments lawyers would entrust them with.

SUP information secretary Dr Dodo Maheri in a faxed statement to Dawn reminded the PPP of the solidarity late Benzir Bhutto expressed with the deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Choudhry with a promise to reinstate once her party came to power. Why the government was not reinstating Justice Choudhry, Dr Dodo Mehri asked.

He said the government policies were a continuation of the policies of Pervez Musharraf and added that the government wanted the judiciary to act on its dictation.

SCHOOL: Engaging in sports is as important as concentrating in studies with the students of Hyderabad Public School doing justice to both, said District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil.

He said this during the inauguration of fun and gala annual programme organised by the girls section of the school here on Wednesday.

He said the school holds a reputation of being one of the best institutions as its students in last year’s board examinations of matriculation and intermediate secured positions by obtaining 97 per cent and 93 per cent marks, respectively.

The school was catering to students of interior and of other places along with providing hostel facilities, he said.

He lauded the school staff for their contribution in improving the standard of education.
