COAS visits Lahore Garrison

LAHORE, Jan 29: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parviz Kayani visited Lahore on Thursday and inaugurated flats for soldiers at Lahore Garrison. Similar inauguration ceremonies for residential accommodation in connection with Year of the Soldier were held at all major garrisons of the country.

According to an ISPR press release, with construction of these flats, the quality and standard of a soldier’s life will see a tangible improvement. Apart from new flats, all old soldiers’ accommodation has been renovated in all the cantonments across the country.

He also visited a boys’ hostel established to provide educational facilities to the children of the soldiers. The COAS presided over the sixth ceremony of Lahore Institute of Technical Education (LITE) as the chief guest and distributed merit certificate to position holders. He also visited
