DAVOS, Jan 30: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Friday that Pakistan was carrying out investigations into the Mumbai terror attacks and would share its findings with the world.
“We are investigating and very soon will come back to the world whatever the findings are,” Mr Gilani told India’s NDTV.
He said the world as well as India should rest assured because Pakistan, being itself a victim of terrorism, was against terrorism. “Therefore there should be no doubt about it,” he said.
Mr Gilani said both India and Pakistan were victims of terrorism.
In reply to a question, he said: “Whatever is the dossier, whatever the information, we are probing into it.”
Asked if he had seen the dossier that India had handed over to Pakistan, the prime minister said: “That is not my job. That is the job of the Ministry of Interior and they are looking into it.”
Answering a question, he held out an assurance that Pakistan’s territory would not be used for terrorism.
Asked about Pakistan High Commissioner Wajid Shamsul Hassan’s statement the Mumbai attacks had not been planned in Pakistan, Mr Gilani said only the Ministry of Interior was authorised to comment on the investigation.—Agencies
