Change need of the hour, says Shujaat

Published February 5, 2009

LAHORE, Feb 4: The deteriorating national scene is demanding a political change, says Pakistan Muslim League-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Husain.

He was talking to reporters at the airport on his return here from London on Wednesday.

He said that his party wanted the ruling coalition to complete its five-year term but the situation demanded that all the parties should adopt a joint strategy to steer the country out of crises.

He alleged that the worst victimisation of the opposition by the Sharifs was a hurdle in the alliance of all PML factions.

To a question, he said the PML-Q was ready to strike alliance with any party “in the best national interest”.—Staff Reporter
