KARACHI, Feb 8: Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Ali Mirza on Sunday asked the home secretary and the Sindh police chief to take measures to make the registration procedure of foreign visitors easier.

He took serious notice of delays in foreign visitors’ registration process, extension of their visas and reports of taking bribes from them.

He said that the extension in visas and other facilities should be provided to the foreigners under one-window operation. He strictly directed the authorities concerned not to harass any foreign visitor.

He directed the Foreigners’ Registration Unit of the Special Branch, to facilitate the foreigners in their registration process otherwise he would take stern action against them.

The home minister directed the home secretary to submit a report regarding the affairs of the foreigners’ registration unit—PPI
