Junior hockey trials

LAHORE, Feb 9: Ninety players turned up on day one of the two-day trials being held here at the National Hockey Stadium to pick the Pakistan junior team for back-to-back competitions in Malaysia and Egypt in March.

Five sessions were held on Monday, while there will be another six on Tuesday.

The trials were watched by Chairman Selection Committee Hasan Sardar, members Farhat Khan, Khalid Bashir, Mohammad Shafiq along with junior team coaches Khawaja Junaid, Ahmad Alam, Danish Kaleem and Secretary PHF Mohammad Asif Bajwa.

The two-day trials will be followed by camp for 28 boys in Islamabad from Feb 18.
