LAHORE, Feb 10: Twenty-five referees, including 20 men and five women, will attend the FIFA members association Elite Referees Course 2009 to be held here from Feb 16 to 20.

The course will be conducted by Islamic Republic of Iran Football Federation’s (IRIFF) Referee Coordinator and former FIFA Referee Masoud Enayat with assistance from Pakistan’s former FIFA referees Qazi Mohammad Asif and Salah-ud-Din Awan.

AFC President Mohammad Bin Hamman has declared 2009 AFC Asian Referees Year and the course is part of that campaign.

Seasoned FIFA referees, namely, Rauf Bari, Ahmed Ali (Karachi), Arif Siddiqui (Lahore), Shahid Ahmed Khan (Rawalpindi) and Hidayatullah (Peshawar) will attend as observers.

Men: Mohammad Iqbal Jr, Shahid Ismail, Abdul Aziz (Karachi), Danishuddin (Hyderabad), Jahangir Khan, Ghulam Mohammad Samad, Abdul Sattar Badini, Saeed Ahmed Kasi, Mohammad Afzal (Quetta), Asif Bin Younus, Waheed Murad (Lahore), Shafaat Habib (Toba Tek Singh), Rana Naseer Ahmed (Faisalabad), Shahid Hussain (Okara), Shahid Rasheed (Arifwala), Mohammad Saleem Khan, Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah, Mohammad Ali Sr, Mohammad Ali Jr (Peshawar) and Chaman Khan (Islamabad).

Women: Yasmeen Zareen, Zahra Abbas, Asif Naheed Butt, Khalida Parveen, Ayesha Nisar.
