KARACHI, Feb 20: Three ships carrying containers and general cargo were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, three more ships with containers and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, sunflower seeds, general cargo, palm oil and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 80,571 tons comprising 64,605 tons of import and 15,966 tons of export tonnage was handled.

CMA CGM Voltaire, CMA CGM Eiffel, Hanjin Piraeus, Thar Mariner, Gemin and Vanguard Viking-I sailed out.
