SUKKUR, Jan 2: Two boys were kidnapped by some armed men from a village near Sakrand town on Friday. Ghulam Farid, 17, son of Ramzan Unnar, and his relative Akhtar Ali, son of Mithal Unnar, were at home in the Dalil village when taken away by the armed men.

Ramzan Unnar, who is a transporter, told the newsmen that he had no enmity with any body. The TPO of Sakrand said the investigation was under way and the police would extend every possible help to recover the kidnapped boys.

KILLED: A pick-up driver, Mithal, son of Umer Lashari, was killed on the spot while a conductor, Saeed Ahmed Sanjrani, was injured when the highwaymen attacked a convoy in the limits of Karampur police station on Thursday.

The convoy, escorted by the police, was on its way to Kandhkot. When it reached near the Elahi Bux village a group of highwaymen signalled the vehicles to stop but the drivers ignored them.
