KARACHI, Jan 2: Lt Gen Tariq Waseem Ghazi, Commander 5 Corps and President Executive Board of DHA, inaugurated Bonsai display and information centre as well as a library building at Zamzama Park in Defence, Phase-V.

Addressing the elite gathering, Lt Gen Ghazi appreciated the untiring and relentless efforts of the Defence Housing Authority and the Pakistan Bonsai Society for successfully establishing the Bosnai Garden and the display centre unique of its kind on pattern of Japanese model.

He expressed hope that the newly established Bonsai Centre as a spectral of botanical genius and aesthetic excellence would provide exclusive recreational entertainment to the art lovers and public at large, stated a press release issued from DHA office here on Friday.

Lt Gen Ghazi said that Bonsai was a fascinating art and a passionate hobby. He stressed upon the need for establishing wholesome recreational centres encompassing various games in the city.

He also directed the DHA to provide best and exclusive entertainment, funfair facilities and qualitative living environment to the residents for achieving the goals of efficient and healthy civic life.

He stressed the need for quality, innovation and creativity in life and said that healthy recreational avenues for expression of creative art and talent must be provided to the people for expressing and demonstrating their aesthetic and artistic skills.

Administrator DHA Brig Maqsood Hussain described the establishment of Bonsai Centre as a unique venture, which would provide aesthetic delight and recreation to public.

The Corps Commander went round the exhibition gallery and appreciated the collection of Bonsai plants on display. Later, he also inaugurated the library building. -PPI
