KASUR, Jan 4: At least 500 male and female teachers of secondary and elementary sections have been appointed in the district. This was stated by District Nazim Rana Imtiaz Ahmad Khan while addressing at a ceremony of giving appointment letters among the newly-recruited teachers.

Giving details, the EDO (Education) said that 12 female secondary school educators, 13 senior elementary school educators and 250 elementary school educators while the rest male elementary school educators had been appointed.

He said the recruitments had been made on a five-year contract which could be extended in case of better performance. Kasur DCO Zubair Masood, Tehsil Nazim Malik Rasheed Ahmad Khan, several union council nazims and councillors and a large number of teachers were also present on the occasion.
