GILGIT, Jan 4: Christians are safer in the Northern Areas as they are fully enjoying equal rights in the region, the Christian community leaders said in Gilgit. They were speaking at a prayer service in the Catholic church in Konodas on Thursday on the eve of the New Year celebrations.

Northern Areas Home Secretary Saeed Ahmed, on the occasion said the government was providing all facilities to Christians in the region to perform their religious rituals and duties with complete freedom.
