KOHAT: No-trust move planned

Published January 14, 2004

KOHAT, Jan 13: A majority of members of the Kohat town council decided on Tuesday to move a fresh no-confidence motion against Nazim Haji Sarfarz Khan, alleging that he was incapable of running the city affairs.

Speaking at a press conference here, 13 out of 17 members of the town council announced that they would soon bring a fresh no- confidence motion against the nazim.

They said the nazim had failed to solve the problems of the area and created hurdles in the way of development activities. It will be third no-confidence motion against the nazim in less than five months. A no-trust motion adopted against the nazim last year was stayed by a court and the case is still pending.
