RAWALPINDI, Feb 8: Four people were killed in separate incidents, police said on Sunday. In the first incident, Haleem Ahmed lodged a complaint with Westridge police saying that his son Mukhtar Ahmed left his house on Friday but did not return. After searching the area, he found his body lying in a field.

Preliminary police investigation showed that the boy had been killed as there were injuries to his back and neck. In another incident, a person was shot dead and another injured in a clash between two groups in Sadiqabad on Saturday night.

According to the investigation officer, Naseer Ahmed and Jahangir Ahmed had a brawl with Raja Kafayat and his sons over a minor issue. During the brawl, Raja Kafayat and his sons opened fire and seriously injuring Jahangir and Naseer. They were shifted to Rawalpindi General Hospital where Naseer died.

Police claimed to have arrested two of the accused identified in the FIR. A man was killed by his son in Rawat on Saturday. Mohammad Hafeez told Rawat police that he and his brother went to their neighbour's house where they saw Mohammad Adnan hitting his father with a hatchet. He said on seeing them, Adnan escaped from the scene. The man died on the spot.
