LAHORE, Feb 9: Only eight overs could be bowled on the opening day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy match between Faisalabad and Sialkot at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, according to a message received here on Monday.

Faisalabad, who lost the toss, were 22 without loss when rain prevent further play.

Meanwhile, rain also had the last laugh in the game between Peshawar and Rawalpindi at the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar where the first day of the four-day tie was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
