RAWALPINDI, Feb 10: The district government on Tuesday gave a seven-day deadline to the internet cafe owners in the city to stop access to pornographic websites and destroy obscene materials.
The warning came after a large number of people approached the district Nazim's secretariat complaining that the internet cafes operating throughout the city were being used for spreading pornography.
The directives call for an end to the partitions and cabins in the internet clubs as people take advantage of the privacy to access porno-sites. District Nazim Raja Tariq Kiani said he would conduct raids after the expiry of the deadline to check compliance of the directives.
