SIALKOT, Feb 15: A speeding wagon killed a youth and a girl and injured a boy near Jessarwala on Daska-Sialkot Road on Sunday. Reports said some passengers were standing at a bus stop near Jessarwala when the wagon (No LXX 8076) hit them, killing Nadeem (20) and Misbah Arshad (8) on the spot.

Saleem (8) was shifted to a Lahore hospital from the Daska Civil Hospital because of his critical condition. Daska Saddar police registered a case against the driver who escaped.

SENTENCED: The Additional District and Sessions Judge of Pasrur, Tariq Iqbal Khan, on Saturday awarded death on three counts, life imprisonment with a fine of Rs500,000 each to Sajjad, Younas and Rafaqat (alias Phaaku) for killing two women and a man.

According to the prosecution, Bashir Ahmad, his wife Rukhsana and daughter Asia were shot dead by the convicts when they resisted the dacoity attempt at their home in Muslim Colony, Pasrur, on Sept 19, 2001.
