SUKKUR, Feb 19: District Nazim Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Thursday inaugurated Saleh Pat-Lalan Chigan and Roshanabad-Maari Januallah Shah roads in Taluka Salehpat.

Speaking on the occasion, he eulogized the services of President Musharraf under whose plan powers had been devolved at the lowest level. He said after the declaration of union council Patni as the model one, 41 training centres would be established under the ESRA in order to provide standard education.

He announced a road scheme for Iqbal Jogi village and water supply scheme for Aadhi village. District Nazim advised the people to apply for employment in those sectors where vacancies had been announced.

Mr Shah while addressing a meeting at the DCO office said the Sukkur district had so far remained cradle of peace with collective and coordinated efforts of Ulema of all sects during Muharram days.

Syed Nasir Hussain appealed to Ulema to demonstrate an spirit of unity, peace and brotherhood and sectarian harmony during Ashura days so that Muharram should pass in a peaceful and congenial atmosphere. District Nazim directed taluka municipal officers to ensure cleanliness, proper lighting particularly during these days.
