SIALKOT: Cadet college

SIALKOT, Feb 22: The Punjab government has provided 148 acres to the district government for the establishment of a cadet college in Pasrur at an estimated cost of Rs200 million.

This was stated by Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resources Syed Akhtar Hussain Rizvi at a public meeting in Pasrur city. Local MNA Zahid Hamid was also present.

The minister said that federal and provincial governments had approved various development schemes worth Rs800 million for the uplift of Chawinda and Pasrur cities while the Punjab government had released a special grant of Rs90 million for widening and reconstructing the busy Sialkot-Pasrur Road. He said that work on this project would start in the first week of March.

The provincial labour minister said that Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had allocated Rs25 million for Pasrur's sewerage system, Rs20 million for Chawinda's sewerage system and Rs30 million for installation of streetlights, provision of water supply and construction of roads in Chawinda. - Correspondent
