KHAIRPUR, Feb 29: Residents of four villages of Faiz Ganj taluka took out a procession on the Hussain Pato road on Sunday against the area Hesco officials.

The protesters also staged a sit-in on the road and raised slogans against the Hesco officials.

They told journalists that unscheduled load-shedding had been continuing in Hussain Pato, Nazar Pato, Gundai Pato and Hafeez Pato villages for the last 20 days.

KILLED: A man, Naseem Haider, was killed on an old enmity here on Sunday. Civil Hospital Khairpur medical officer Dr Niaz Abro allegedly injured him in an attack. He died on the way to the hospital. The accused fled after committing the crime.

In another incident, a man was killed and two others, including a woman, were injured in a head-on collision between a wagon and motorbike at the Khoso Pul near Priyaloi on Saturday night. The killed man was identified as Haji Jhangal Burdi. The injured, Mahiwal Burdi and Shamshad, were admitted to a Larkana hospital in critical condition.

SNATCHED: Seven armed men snatched a tractor (AX-3513) from Shadi Khan Chandio in the Tando Masti police jurisdiction on Saturday.
