THATTA, May 18: A complete strike was observed and hundreds of people demonstrated in the streets of the coastal town of Jati to protest against the power failure in the town here on Friday.

Barkat Khwaja, Razzaq Lohar, Zahid Soomro and others addressed the protesters and alleged that since 1993 cyclone the electric poles had been shattered causing constant unscheduled power breakdown in the area.

BODY FOUND: The partially decomposed body of one Mehmood, son of Mohammad Raheem Butt, 28, had been spotted from the Dhabeji filter plant here on Friday.

The deceased was mentally ill.
