QUETTA, March 9: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed its Peshawar - Zhob - Quetta weekly flight after remaining suspended for more than two years.

The people of Zhob and Quetta had been demanding for restarting of the flight since long. However, Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali ordered the PIA authorities to resume the flight without further delay, when it was brought into his notice by Balochistan Assembly Speaker Jamal Shah and MPA Jaffar Khan Mandokhel.

The PIA service for Zhob restarted on Monday from Peshawar and reached Quetta in the afternoon. Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani was amongst the passengers of the flight. The PIA authorities has started a weekly flight, however, it would be multiplied later.

The governor, while speaking at the opening ceremony at Zhob airport, said that with the resumption of the flight would give better travelling facilities to the people.
