RAWALPINDI, March 11: Four persons, including two brothers, were killed while three others injured in separate incidents in Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Thursday, police and hospital authorities said.

In the first incident, two persons were killed while two others injured after the roof of their house caved in in Sadiqabad on Thursday. Police said Mohammad Riaz, Safeer Hussain, Rehmat and Zaibat Khan were sitting in their house when it collapsed in the afternoon.

The rescuers rushed to the scene and pulled the men out of the debris. The four men were shifted to the DHQ hospital where Rehmat and Zaibat were pronounced dead. The other two are said to be in critical condition.

In the second incident, two brothers were killed while another man was injured after their car overturned and crashed into a roadside footpath on Islamabad Highway on Thursday.

Police said Adnan Ahmed, 23, along with his brother Imran Ahmed, 22, and Sameer Shah were coming to Islamabad from Gulzar-i-Quaid in their car (RIZ-1825) when Adnan lost control of the vehicle.

The car overturned and smashed into a footpath, killing the two brothers on the spot. The dead and injured were pulled out of the wreckage by rescuers and shifted to Pims. The injured Sameer Shah, 19, is said to be in stable condition.
