SUKKUR, March 16: The people of Thul town held a protest demonstration on Tuesday against the extended load shedding over the past three days. The protesters raised slogans against the Hesco officials and burnt tyres in front of power company's office.

Speaking on the occasion, the leader of a consumers organization, Mukhtiar Ahmed Noonari, said that during the past three days electricity to Thul town was disconnected for about 20 hours, while the Hesco officials were not giving a proper reason for it.

He said that power theft in the area was at its extreme with the abetment of the Hesco officials. He alleged that the Hesco's officials, to cover up the electricity theft, had resorted to eight to ten hours daily load shedding.

ELECTROCUTED: A labourer, Khalid Hussain Brohi, of Larkana was electrocuted in Jacobabad on Tuesday. He was busy working when a live electricity wire fell upon him.

HIJACKED: Some bandits snatched a tractor from a grower, Munawar Marejo, near Khanpur Mahar on Tuesday.
