CHAMAN, March 21: The Frontier Corps in different operations recovered 157kg of charas and arrested four smugglers on Sunday. They also impounded 12 oxen and 14 donkeys used for smuggling.

According to Frontier Corps sources, some unknown smugglers tried to smuggle charas from Afghanistan through Luqman post. However, on seeing the FC troops they escaped to Afghanistan after throwing 96kg of the stuff.

In the second operation, the FC recovered 61kg of charas last night. The smugglers while trying to cross into Pakistani border from Afghanistan with the seized charas through Ali Gul post, were challenged by the troops.

The smugglers escaped back into the Afghan territory, leaving behind the narcotic material. In yet another incident, the FC men foiled an attempt to smuggle twelve oxen to Afghanistan near Hasan post.

The troops forced the smugglers to flee leaving behind the oxen. Moreover, the Frontier Corps troops arrested four smugglers with four donkeys near Qadir checkpoint. -APP
