ABBOTTABAD, April 4: A large number of people here have demanded that their cases be transferred to the Special Anti-Corruption Court, Abbottabad. Members of the District Bar Association, Abbottabad, have also supported the demand.

In a written request made to the authorities concerned, it has been said that the court was established to facilitate the employees and people of entire Hazara division who had to travel to Peshawar for cases.

Now that they are happy that the court has been set up here, behind-the-scene efforts are being made to close down the Abbottabad court, they said, claiming that next fiscal year budget for the court has not been forwarded which means that the court will stop functioning from next financial year, thus, increasing the miseries of the people as well as lawyers. The concerned authorities have been asked to transfer all cases to the court and to ensure that the court continues to function. -PPI
