FAISALABAD, April 6: The Jamiat Talaba Arabia, an organization working for the protection of seminaries, has announced the launch of a 'Save Madaris Campaign' from April 15.

Jamiat chief Hafiz Sajid Anwar and office-bearers of other organizations said at a news conference here on Tuesday that the West had declared religious institutions as chambers of terror, which was a wrong impression. Efforts would be made by the students of seminaries to restore the confidence of world community.

They claimed that the seminaries were teaching students Islamic values and there was no place for the training of terrorism. They said the Save Madaris campaign would be launched in big cities under which students would be prepared to respond the ill-conceived policies of the government. If the government failed to change its policy on seminaries, the students would be left with no option but to stage protests.
