BAHAWALPUR, April 14: The Government College of Technology teachers continued strike on the second day on Wednesday on the call given by the United Teachers Association. They stopped work at 11am.
The strike will continue till April 20 and if their demands were not accepted, teachers will observe complete strike and boycott examinations to be organized by Tevta. The teachers of technical colleges went on strike after their negotiations with Tevta chief failed.
CURRICULUM: The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), Bahawalpur chapter, welcomed the government move to change the curriculum of middle and high classes.
HRCP coordinator Jam Bashir Ahmad said on Wednesday here that the change was the need of the hour and it should continue. Jam Bashir said curriculum should be updated according to modern lines as the present syllabus was only producing a crop of unskilled people.
