LARKANA, April 14: Leaders of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) and the Jeay Sindh Students Federation (JSSF) have criticized the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Larkana , for rejecting on technical grounds the examination forms of 350 first year candidates of inter science.

JSQM and JSSF workers observed a token hunger strike outside the press club on Tuesday and criticized the rejection of the forms 10 days before the commencement of the examinations.

Athar Soomro, JSQM district president Aziur Rehman Soomro and Muzaffar Kanasro observed the token hunger strike and described the rejection of the examination forms as an uncalled-for action.

Athar Soomro said that the BISE chairman had decided at a meeting with the JSQM last year that the board would charge Rs100 as late fee. But, he said, it was charging Rs450 as late fee while students behind bars were being denied of their right to appear in examinations.

When contacted, the controller of examination, Professor Rabnawaz Tunio, denied that the BISE and JSQM had arrived at any kind of agreement. He said the 350 students had submitted their mark sheets to avail themselves of the facility of grace marks in the light of the Sindh governor's announcement.
