SARGODHA, April 15: The training for a future aerial battle will entail simulation of complex battle scenarios, persistent endeavours to achieve the highest professional standard and a perfect harmony between all team members.

This was stated by Air Chief Marshal Kaleem Saadat while addressing the graduation ceremony of Combat Commanders' Course at PAF Base Mushaf here on Thursday. He said the combat pilots, controllers, engineering, logistic and administration staff also played vital role in the performance of air force.

About the PAF future plans, he said a number of projects were under way for maintaining the existing assets in a fully operational state. Vigorous efforts with full government support were also under way to procure modern high-tech equipment. He said the induction of a BVR missile, an AEW and modern hi-tech aircraft remained high on the air staff's agenda while the JF-17 Thunder programme was progressing very well.

"I am confident that these projects will contribute significantly towards enhancing the fighting potential of the PAF", he said. The Officer Commanding of CCS, Group Captain Sohail Aman presented the course report.

He highlighted the salient features of the curriculum and various phases of training during which the participants were made to evolve, apply and evaluate the air battle concepts in war like scenarios. The chief guest then awarded certificates and trophies to the graduating officers who underwent a strenuous and professionally demanding course.

The Chief of the Air Staff trophy for the best Combat Commander was given to Squadron Leader Amir Shahzad while Air Officer Commanding Air Defence Command trophy for the best Combat Controller was awarded to Squadron Leader Farhan Ahmad. -APP
