BAHAWALPUR, April 15: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Bahawal-pur, has finally started issuing roll number slips to the candidates for the intermediate annual examination scheduled to commence on April 24.
BISE chairman Bilqees Akram told newsmen on Thursday that the roll number slips were being dispatched to all candidates. She said the candidates might contact the board officials if they failed to receive their slips by April 20.
Controller examinations Prof Mahmood Akhtar said 45,000 regular and private candidates would appear in the examination, for whom 83 centres had been set up in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan.
Meanwhile, sources told this correspondent that the Punjab Boards Chairmen Committee, which met in Lahore, had decided to issue roll number slips to the candidates. The committee, they said, was expecting favourable verdict of its inter-court appeal against the LHC (Bahawalpur bench) judgement.
The LHC has already given verdict in the favour of students, who had demanded removal of disparity in the question papers of the federal board and the provincial boards.
