Earlier in the morning members of the Ali Sher Hyderi and Qalandar Bux Jagirani groups had visited the B-section police station for the settlement of the dispute. After the incident, a large number of people and students of Darul Uloom Hamadia came out and blocked the Pir-jo-Goth-Khairpur road. They also closed shops in the Luqman area. An angry mob set ablaze the house of Qalandar Bux Jagirani.

Some people took out a procession and passed through The Mall, Shahi Bazaar, Sachal shopping centre, Panj Gulla, vegetable and fruit market. As a result shops were closed in all these areas.

The policemen were deployed in different parts of the city. They sealed the underground railway double crossing bridge. District Nazim Syeda Nafisa Shah visited the hospital and inquired about the health of injured people. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
