SUKKUR, May 26: Seven policemen, including the SHO of Padidan, involved in a murder case ran away from court premises after their bail application was cancelled by the judge, on Wednesday.

Reports reaching here said the SHO of Padidan Abdul Sattar Ujjan an six other policemen was allegedly involved in the murder of Sanas Ali Waggan. The names of the six policemen are Qurban Kalhoro, Ellahi Bux Khaskheli, Muneer Jatoi, Sawan Kalhoro, Kabeer Chandio and Gul Mohammad Almani.

They were produced in the court of Additional Sessions Judge, Naushero Feroz, Abdul Ghani Soomro. When the judge cancelled their bail plea, the policemen listening to the verdict fled from the court premises.

The brother of the murder victim Amanat Ali Waggan, told newsmen that, SHO Abdul Sattar Ujjan had threatened to kill him as they had killed his brother. He said that despite the registration of a case, the policemen were at large, and no one was ready to arrest them.

JIRGA: A jirga in Kandhkot town on Wednesday directed two conflicting groups to withdraw cases under trial in different courts of law. The jirga also resolved the two-year-old bloody dispute between two groups of Golato clan in which three persons were killed.

Taj Mohammad Domki, Ahmed Ali Bhangwar, Mohammad Salah Golo and two Ameens Mohammad Ali Khoso and Adab Khoso attended the jirga. The jirga imposed a fine of Rs1200,000 for three murders and decided that the accused would pay the amount to the relatives of the deceased within a month while

It might be recalled that Essa Golato, Wajib Golato and an unknown were gunned down by their rivals over a piece of land and cases of murder were pending in different courts.

SHOT DEAD: A man was gunned down by armed men in Nawab Mahar village Ghotki district on Wednesday. The Ghotki police made it clear that the murder of Mithal Mahar was not the result of on going dispute between Mahar and Almani clans.
