KHAIRPUR, May 27: People's Party Parliamentarians MPA Nawab Wassan has alleged that party workers, Awam Dost nazims and councillors are being victimized by the government through police.

Speaking at a gathering in Faiz Gondal village Kotdiji taluka on Wednesday, he said that workers of the party would continue their struggle for the rights. On this occasion, Jan Mohammad Gondal and Shafi Mohammad Gondal and a large number of people joined the PPP.

Nawab Wassan said that all the records of rigging and highhandedness were broken in the election of Naib Nazim. He said that the Sindh government had not carried out any development work in the district. He said that the government had registered some 300 false cases against workers.

TEXTBOOKS: Two school textbooks - English class-IX and mathematics class-VIII - are not available at any bookstall in the district. The new edition of the English book was provided by the board in short number which was sold out.

RALLY: Responding to the call of All-Pakistan Clerks Association, the staff of different government departments took out a procession from the EDO education office for acceptance of their charter of demands on Thursday.

The leader of the rally told newsmen that the government had compelled them to come on roads as their demands regarding transport allowance and setting up clerks foundation were not accepted.
