BAHAWALPUR, June 20: A man and his two sons were killed and their driver sustained serious injuries on Sunday in a road accident here on Sunday. According to reports, Sharif along with his son Younus and Abdul Haq and driver was on his way to the city by his car.

Near Baghdadul Jadid railway station, a speeding wagon, going to Hasilpur, crashed into their vehicle coming from the opposite side. Consequently, the man and his two sons died instantly while the driver suffered serious injuries.

He was shifted to the BVH. Bagdadul Jadid police took the wagon driver into custody.

ALLEGATION: PPP Central Executive Committee member Khan Muhammad Hussain Azad protested against a pre-poll rigging on three Punjab assembly seats in the district.

Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, the CEC member alleged that the Punjab chief minister's frequent visits to these constituencies were meant to win the elections at any cost.

He said under an organized rigging programme, limitless packages and political bribery in the shape of various uplift projects were being announced by the chief minister.

He called upon the chief election commissioner to hold bypolls under the direct supervision of the judiciary. Condemning the murder of Munawar Suharwardy, he demanded the registration of a case against Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad.

He said, earlier, PPP MPA Abdullah Murad had been killed in a similar attack. He said the Sindh government had failed miserably to eliminate terrorism and protect the life of people.
