FAISALABAD, June 30: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education announced the results of matriculation examination by declaring almost all the candidates successful.

At a ceremony held here at the BISE Complex on Wednesday, controller of examinations Muhammad Ziaul Haq announced the results. He said 77,572 candidates from Faisalabad, Jhang and Toba Tek Singh appeared in the examination. Under the new policy of the education department, almost all the candidates have been declared successful in categories from A to E according to their obtained marks.

Hafizah Amna Mudassar of the Dar-i-Arqam Girls High School at People's Colony (Faisalabad) got first position by getting 772 marks, Misbah Ashraf of the Junior Model Girls High School, Gojra (Toba Tek Singh) second position with 770 marks and Muhammad Mohsin of the Government Islamia High School, Jinnah Colony (Faisalabad) third position by getting 769 marks.

SCIENCE GROUP BOYS: Muhammad Mohsin of the Government Islamia High School clinched first position while the second position was shared by Rahman Sher of the Government High School, Pirmahal (Toba Tek Singh) and Ata Mohyuddin of the Chenab College (Jhang) with 768 marks each while Muhammad Tasawar Latif of the Government Model High School (Toba Tek Singh) got third position by obtaining 764 marks.

GENERAL GROUP BOYS: Muhammad Zain of the Sheri Public School, Model Town (Faisalabad) was declared first with 654 marks while Muhammad Kashif Zia of the Government High School, Chak 423-GB, Tandlianwala (Faisalabad) and Muhammad Ammad Altaf of the Al-Tahir Grammar High School, People's Colony (Faisalabad) got second and third positions by securing 651 and 645 marks, respectively.

SCIENCE GROUP GIRLS: In the science group, Hafiza Amna Mudassar of the Dar-i-Arqam Girls High School and Misbah Ashraf of the Junior Model Girls High School got first and second positions with 772 and 770 marks, respectively. Hafiza Hina Imtiaz of the Dar-i-Araqam Girls High School and Arooj Rasheed of the Faisalabad Grammar School shared third position with 766 marks.

GENERAL GROUP GIRLS: Sumaira Kanwal of the Al-Faisal Girls Grammar School, Gulistan Colony (Faisalabad) got first position by obtaining 756 marks, Asma of Hafiz Ubaidullah Mushtaq Academy High School (Toba Tek Singh) second with 736 marks and Perveen Akhtar of the Government Girls High School, Chak 84-JB (Faisalabad) got third position with 729 marks.
